Role Overview
The Director Rheumatology will be responsible for leading commercial strategy and execution for a segment of Medexus Pharma’s U.S. portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President, Specialty and Rare Disease, this role will play a key part in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans that drive growth, enhance market presence, and deliver strong performance across assigned brands. This position is both strategic and hands-on, requiring the ability to translate market insights into effective brand strategies, lead field and marketing initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales, marketing, and medical strategies for the Rheumatology portfolio in alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
- Assume full P&L responsibility for assigned products, including revenue forecasting, cost management, margin optimization, and profitability, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and stakeholders, effectively communicating the scientific and clinical value of the portfolio.
- Lead, coach, and support team to ensure that sales strategies and targets are consistently achieved.
- Establish performance metrics to monitor sales productivity, marketing effectiveness, and ROI, and adjust tactics based on results and market dynamics.
- Conduct market research to understand competitive dynamics, trends, and customer insights to inform product positioning and campaign development.
- Monitor team performance, preparing and presenting timely sales and marketing reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
- Work with cross-functional partners—Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Compliance—to ensure promotional and operational activities meet all corporate and FDA standards.
- Foster strong collaborations with external business partners, aligning strategies and coordinating efforts across medical, marketing, and sales functions to ensure mutual success.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a Life Science discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical experience, including at least 3 years in a marketing role.
- Demonstrated success in rheumatology field, with experience leading product launches and driving brand growth.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare environment, including reimbursement dynamics and account-based selling.
- Financial acumen and comfort managing budgets and forecasting.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across sales, marketing, and medical functions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational capabilities; able to leverage data to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and alignment with Medexus Pharma’s core values.
Additional Information:
· Compensation range: $180K-$220K
· 40–50% travel for meetings, conferences, and field visits. Flexibility is required to support business needs across time zones.

Compensation
$180,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
